Zeera Aloo (Cumin Potatoes)

Yields1 Serving

 2 potatoes; washed, peeled and chopped
  cup oil
 6 whole, dried red chilis
 1 tbsp cumin seeds
 1 tsp salt
 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
 ½ tsp turmeric
 ½ cup water
 ¼ cup cilantro, chopped

Warm up oil in a shallow pot

Add the cumin seeds, once they start spluttering, add the ginger garlic paste and powder spices, mix well.

Add the potatoes and water and mix well.

Cook covered for about 10 minutes or until your potatoes get soft.

Add the chilis and cilantro and saute until the water dries.

Serve hot with puris, paratha or naan.
