Chana Pulao-Instant Pot

Yields1 Serving

 1 can chickpeas, drained and washed
 3 cups rice
 6.50 cups water
  cup oil
  cup fried onions
 5 cardamom pods
 3 cinnamon sticks
 1 tsp salt, more or less to taste
 1 tsp cumin powder
 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

Turn IP on saute mode and wait until the screen says hot.

Add oil, cardamom and cinnamon sticks. Saute for 1 min.

Add chickpeas, fried onions, salt, cumin and ginger garlic paste. Mix together well and saute for 1 min.

Add the rice and mix together well. Add water.

Turn off saute mode, put lid on.
Select rice mode and start. It will auto cook!

Enjoy hot with yogurt or any curry!
