Dum ke Kabab (baked ground beef)

Yields1 Serving

Kabob
 1 lb ground beef
 ½ cup sour cream
  cup oil
 2 jalapenos, chopped
 ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
 salt, to taste
 1 tsp cayenne pepper
 1 tsp garam masala powder
 ½ tsp cumin powder
 1 egg
 1 pinch of saffron
Garnish
 ½ onion, sliced
 1 jalapeno, sliced
 1 cup lemon juice

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees

Mix together all the ingredients for the kabobs using both your hands. Do not over mix as it will dry them out.

Put the ground beef mixture in a baking dish and spread evenly. Using your finger, slightly press indents into the beef, but do not push all the way through.

Bake in the oven for 45 minutes, covered. Then uncovered for 10 minutes.

Remove the kabobs from the pan and crumble into your serving dish.

Mix together all garnish ingredients and garnish the kabobs before serving.

Serve hot with rice or naan
